Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman
I have followed Kahneman’s work over the years and have always found it fascinating. In the mid 1980’s I built an ‘inferencing spreadsheet’ based on psychological theories of category and concept formation. This modelled a small but central aspect of human cognition but the desire to develop a more comprehensive model has always been there. Now Kahneman’s work has been consolidated into a very readable form. A summary be can access below. So, when you have a spare hours, treat yourself to the best psychological account of the fallibility of human cognition you are likely to find.
